Interaction Situation
During the interaction, situations can occur that are challenging for the user. In these situations, the robot can act as a supporter of the user and motivate her by showing an expression of strength. Combined with a motivational speech, the robot’s demonstration of strength can be contagious and increase the user’s belief in her own capabilities, and thus increase her performance.
Solution
Let the robot express that:
You can best express positive energy and support through movement. Energy can be expressed (and transferred to the user) with short quick movements.
If the robot has arms, energy can also be expressed through gestures of strength or victory.
